A lot can happen over a night

 Paritesh (or chacha as we fondly call him) or should I call him Mr. Paritesh now, was once just like us i.e. unemployed childish, and above all a bachelor. but it all started changing when chacha decided to get married. Now it is almost impossible to draw analogies between us and chacha. Our friend is officially employed, no more a childish boy but a married gentleman. 



So the day for the finale was decided by the concerned parties to be the 22nd of June possibly unaware of the historical significance of this date. it was the 22nd of June when the famous Hand of the god goal, scored by Diego Maradona in the quarter-finals of the 1986 FIFA semi-finals match between Argentina and England, ignites controversy. later on, this was credited to be the goal of the century. Another significance being during world war 2nd in 1940 on this very day France was forced to sign the Second Compiègne armistice with Nazi Germany. many years down the line chacha was also going to sign some sort of a treaty perhaps the difference being this treaty was mutually agreed upon nevertheless for peace prosperity and better prospects of future.



chacha invited us to be a part of it and we despite some troubles managed to be there as it's not frequent for us to be invited to marriages as we are, thanks to our college days more comfortable to crash somewhere uninvited. In Allahabad during my graduation years, we had developed a reputation for being so fierce and unintimidated for going around many marriage laws during the seasons. Although I must confess it was risky and one should avoid attending uninvited celebrations (we had our fair share of experiencing the wrath of the hosts).


so the point being it was something we took very personal to attend an invited marriage that to of a very very good friend. we are a large group but due to the pandemic situation, only a few of us dared to be there. chacha was beaming with jubilation as one is supposed to be on this day. we must thank chacha for providing an island of joy amidst the ocean of negativity perpetuated by the ongoing pandemic.

 And then there was the sign of early sun fading the mammoth unending dark black night. Although too early to say conclusively and perhaps momentarily but the plateauing of the covid curve in India is visible. As they say, the grass is after all always greener on the other side especially if you don't have to do the mowing, this applies to our belly as well. being north Indian we love south Indian delights even if you do not, I do. Keeping that in mind  if you are looking fo r authent ic south Indian cuisine in Lucknow you must try SOUTH INDIAN TAMIL NADU DOSA, particularly for its dosa and idli.  Pro tip its paneer butter masala dosa is by far the best I had in Lucknow. back in college days, i t was our go-to dining destination whenever we thought we deserved a special treat and that was quite often .  The shop is owned and entirely run by south Indian people. they speak fluent Tamil and a bit of Hindi enough to understand and take your orders.
